Why “interested” people never buy
Every month I engage and talk with at least 20 founders, consultants, freelancers, and so on.
And I noticed how most of them focus on the wrong thing when it comes to selling.
They are concerned about getting more traffic. About getting more leads.
They just assume that if they have more “interested” people, sales will naturally follow.
Unfortunately, things don’t work like that.
People don’t buy because they are interested. They buy because they are ready.
And that’s exactly where they go wrong.
It’s a big mistake to assume interest means sales or engagement means buying intent.
Interest is… interest (not ready) and engaged is… engaged (not committed).
This is why you may probably end up in a situation where “people almost bought but didn’t”.
It happens because there is a gap between “interested” and “ready”.
And no amount of posts, articles, ads, emails, or whatever else you want won’t fix this.
Because people don’t buy when you want them to, they do it when they feel ready.
So what you should isn’t to push, but to bridge that gap.
Your potential clients have to check these 3 things before buying:
1. They need to trust you
2. They need to believe in your solution
3. They need to see themselves succeeding.
This is what moves people. This is what makes them say “YES” to your offer.
You don’t need to focus on more tactics.
You just need to focus on 1 clear offer and 1 simple funnel that checks the 3 things from above.
That’s it.
