Why it seems difficult to get new clients

Have you ever wondered why some businesses seem to effortlessly attract clients, while others are left hustling?

Well, the ones who seem to have it all together (great approach, filling their pipeline, making their sales process look seamless) don’t rely on random tactics.

They don’t live by the belief that success and growth come from a new, “trendy” strategy or the next viral post.

The difference is in their approach.

They are not running after tactics, they are following a clear and sometimes very simple strategy.

And I’m able to say this confidently after I worked and talked with hundreds of businesses in the last 10 years.

The ones “who are on the fast lane” are doing things like this:

1. They have a strong, specific offer that speaks directly to their ICP. It’s not vague, and it doesn’t try to appeal to everyone. It speaks directly to the people they want to work with and shows them exactly why their solution is the best fit for their unique problem.

2. They have a well-defined funnel that’s built for the people and designed to guide them through the buying process. Instead of relying on luck or sporadic actions, their funnel systematically builds trust and gets people closer to saying “YES”.

3. They use tactics that fit into their overall strategy, not random activities that take up time but lead to no results. Their efforts are aligned with their offer, their funnel, and their target audience.

This combination creates a smooth flow.

Everything works because they build and follow a simple strategy.

Before diving further, let’s take a look at the other side of the coin. The businesses trapped “in tactics”.

They think:

“If I post more on LinkedIn, the clients will come.”
“If I send more cold emails, someone will say yes.”
“If I try this new funnel technique, maybe it will work.”

They’re constantly jumping from tactic to tactic, hoping that something will work. But they’re missing the bigger picture.

1. Random tactics don’t work unless they’re aligned with a clear strategy. The right offer and a targeted funnel are what make potential clients say “YES” (or not).

2. Chasing leads instead of following a strategy puts you in a reactive position, constantly playing catch-up instead of proactively attracting the right clients.

3. Hope is not a strategy. Without a clear, step-by-step approach, you’ll always find yourself scrambling for the next quick fix.

I’ve seen this firsthand.

Clients come to me, telling me they’ve tried it all (cold outreach, ads, content, etc) and still haven’t seen the results they want.

But when we take a step back and work on a minimal but effective strategy they finally start getting the traction they’ve been missing.

So if you’ve been feeling stuck or frustrated because of how things are going on your end, here’s what I want you to consider:

1. Is your offer clear enough to speak directly to the right people?
2. Does your funnel guide (not force) in a way that builds trust and naturally moves them toward a decision?
3. Are your tactics aligned with your strategy?

When you focus on building a clear offer and funnel first, then carefully choose tactics that support those elements, that’s when everything starts to click.
